1st Galaxy began way back in 1985, when it was father and son team Barrie and Lee Smith, simply known as the "Firework Man" firing displays for local schools and Public Houses. In 1994/5 Barrie and his wife Kathleen decided to turn this hobby and passion into a business and …they have never looked back!

Nearly twenty years later the company employs five full time members of staff and 30 – 40 part time professional display operators, runs six seasonal firework stores and supplies fireworks via mail order every week of the year. 1st Galaxy delivers large scale displays across Europe, as well as smaller intimate events such as wedding displays and corporate parties all over the UK.

1st Galaxy celebrates 20 years in business this year, and is enormously proud of its rich history in the firework business. During the past twenty years we have delivered thousands of displays and entertained millions of people across the UK and Europe.

We specialise in providing breathtaking shows, either traditional displays or pyromusicals, for weddings, corporate parties, private parties and business launches as well as festivals and large scale public events.
